An initiative to support the community

As part of its community-building activities, Harlequin recently sponsored training kits for Caister Football Club on behalf of Travis Perkins Beccles, one of our most valuable customers. Harlequin is delighted to be associated with Travis Perkins Beccles, which is part of the national network of TP Group, one of the largest suppliers to UK’s building and construction industry.

David Thompson, Branch Manager, TP Beccles who manages the club was actively looking for sponsorship for the football club. Harlequin firmly believes in supporting and encouraging activities organised by the local community, so it immediately agreed to sponsor training kits for the club.

Caister Football Club has come a long way since its formation in 1908. It now operates four adult sides, which makes them one of the largest adult clubs in the county. In recent years, the club has enjoyed further success. In the 2012-2013 season, manager of the team David Thompson played an important role in guiding the 1st team to runners up in division 1 and to the Mummery Cup Final in the 2015-2016. Harlequin felt it is important to encourage the team to perform better.

David Thompson of Travis Perkins Beccles who manages Caister FC said, “On behalf of Caister Football Club we would like to thank Harlequin Manufacturing for their support with this. Sponsorship packages are essential to the running of the club and it was really reassuring to know that there are still manufacturers out there that are willing to support the local community. Going forward, we will be using only sewage treatment plants manufactured by Harlequin!”

Harlequin has been successfully supplying waste water treatment systems to customers of TP Beccles. Customers are very happy with the quality of the product and its value for money. David went on to say, “Our customer base is more price-conscious than ever.
