Harlequin celebrates 40 years of excellence

Posted On: 9 November 2021

Harlequin (then Clarehill Plastics) was founded by the formidable Mrs May Gracey in 1981 to pioneer the manufacture and supply of rotationally moulded plastic products such as coal bunkers, oil & water tanks. We now develop a range of innovative solutions for bespoke customer needs in industries such as energy, water and agribusinesses.

Over the past 40 years, Harlequin has grown into a leading manufacturer of innovative polyethylene storage tanks and systems. Forty years of experience has given us a unique insight and vision, and a practical approach to innovation – one that is based on trust and real-world experience.

Along our journey, we have picked up many awards for product design, as well as outstanding achievement in the field of agriculture, machinery and technology. Many of our innovative products are designed as a result of our trusted working relationships with our customers. We’re proud to be industry leaders in developing product solutions.

Our Harlequin family has grown from 3 people in 1981 to the present 105. Not only has our staff strength grown, we have also invested further in technology and a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in East Kirkby.

While the company’s services and operations have expanded, our underlying principles have remained constant. We are proud to celebrate our 40-year milestone with our employees, clients, and partners—and look forward to the next 40 years with excitement.

Our vision is to be recognised as a leader in creating products and ideas that care for our environment.
